Tillie was much loved and will be greatly missed but not forgotten.Fred, already her secret admirer, gladly accepted and they were soon dating.Fred and Lois married on September 29, 1951 in Lois’ hometown of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Fred and Lois were blessed with a son, Stephen Monte Cool, on July 15, 1952.He attended Harmony grade school in Larslan, Montana.Fred graduated from Glasgow High School and attended college at North Central Bible College (NCBC) in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he obtained his ministerial degree.She was a wiz at crossword puzzles, word finds and Lottery scratch off tickets.
She loved bingo and playing solitaire even with cards that were curled up, she said the older the better then she would give you her laugh.
Everyone loved her at Nemont Manor in Glasgow and Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point where she kept them amused with her stories. Tillie is survived by her daughters Julianna Ackerman, Debra Cantrell, Carole (Ross) Nimrod, and Robin Cox; sons Michael (Earlene) Ackerman, twins Rex and Ray Cox, Ricky Gives, Richard Cox, Jeffery Cox and Randy Cox; brother Ed (Marilyn) Cox; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous special nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Lillie Cox.
Tillie was preceded in death by her husband Floyd; parents Joe and Julia (Grandchamp) Cox; sisters Lenora Red Elk, Loretta Adams, Genevive Cox and Darlene Cox; brothers Joseph JR.
On September 24, 1954, Wesley Frederic Cool joined their family. She was very well liked and respected to all who knew her upbeat, endearing personality. They had homes next to each other in Lomita, California. Marie in the late 80’s, was a snow bird, going to California in the winters. Marie a couple of weeks each summer, and before you knew it, Lona moved here in April 1994.
Upon Fred’s dad’s sudden death in December 1954, the Cools lived in Larslan, Montana during the farming season to help with the family farm. She loved 4-Bears Casino and loved going there with her friend Audrey Sands. Growing up in the city, she simply loved Montana, even when her health failed and she couldn’t get out of her house.
Visitation will be Thursday February 9, 2018 from 6 – 8pm at the Bell Chapel.
